Depending on the individual, it's not uncommon for chemicals perspired through pores to cause plated jewellery to tarnish and discolour.

You have 30 days to return any unwanted items from the day you receive them, provided they're in their original, unused condition and you the consumer have taken reasonable care of the goods whilst in your possession. In the interest of hygiene, we cannot accept any returns on any pierced jewellery.
